Kristin Ropp is a Pittsburgh native and graduate of Ohio University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal Communication in 1996. While at Ohio
University, she gained a passion and early experience in live entertainment by booking and facilitating concerts for national and regional touring acts, in addition to contributing to numerous charitable initiatives as a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority.
After graduation, Ropp launched her career with Nederlander Entertainment in Cincinnati, holding management roles at Bogarts, Taft Theatre, Riverbend, and Pepsi Jammin’ on Main before becoming Director of Operations for the arena. In 2005, she was named Vice President and General Manager of Heritage Bank Center, as well as General Manager of the Cincinnati Cyclones, the city’s professional hockey team.
Under her leadership, the Cyclones have achieved consistent success, highlighted by Ropp’s two-time recognition as ECHL Executive of the Year. Since 2006, she has overseen a 255% increase in attendance, guided the front office to multiple league honors, and served as Chair of the ECHL Marketing Committee. In 2017, she spearheaded the creation of the Cincinnati Cyclones Foundation, dedicated to expanding youth hockey in the region.
In addition to sitting on the Jr Cyclones Board, Ropp also sits on the Cincinnati Cyclones Foundation Board. She was recently appointed to the Cincinnati Regional Sports Commission Board as well.
