ASPIRE FIGURE SKATING

Ready to discover the figure skater you ASPIRE to become?
Attitude. Sportsmanship. Perseverance. Integrity. Respect. Effort.

Take the next step in your skating journey with ASPIRE, a seven-week bridge program designed for skaters ready to move beyond Learn to Skate fundamentals. Skaters should be working on or have passed Basic 4–6 skills and will be grouped by age and ability. ASPIRE is ideal for skaters who have completed the Learn to Skate Basic Skills progression, are beginning the transition to U.S. Figure Skating and want a valuable complement to private lessons. At this stage, skaters should have their own professionally fitted, quality instructional-level figure skates.

Jr. Cyclones Learn to Skate and Academy are excited to offer the ASPIRE Bridge Program on Sunday afternoons from 4:00–5:10 p.m.

OFF-ICE TRAINING | 4:00–4:20 p.m.
Sneakers required; meet in the lobby.
Skaters begin together with a coach-led warm-up featuring jump technique, stretching, and conditioning to help them feel strong and prepared on the ice.

SKATE PREP | 4:20–4:30 p.m.
Skaters lace up and get ready to take the ice.

ON-ICE TRAINING | 4:30–5:10 p.m.
Two focused 20-minute classes help skaters develop confidence and technique in four key areas:

  • Skating skills and edges
  • Spins
  • Jumps
  • Choreography

Everything skaters need to keep progressing:

  • A weekly 20-minute off-ice class and 40 minutes of on-ice instruction
  • An ASPIRE skill-tracking packet
  • A parent education meeting with helpful guidance for the next stage of the skating journey
  • Opportunities to shine in holiday performances

Extend the experience with an ASPIRE membership.
