bio

Erika Damon brings a lifelong passion for hockey and more than 30 years on the ice to the Learn To Play Hockey (LTPH) program.  She first fell in love with the game at a young age, growing up attending Cincinnati Mighty Ducks games and being inspired by the players and community around her.  That early spark grew into a competitive playing career that included youth hockey with the Cincinnati Lady Cyclones—where she served as Assistant Captain—and continued through collegiate hockey with the University of Denver Women’s team.

With over 15 years of coaching experience, Erika has worked with players of all ages and abilities, from Pee Wee teams to Special Hockey, sled hockey, Learn To Skate (LTS), and Learn To Play Hockey (LTPH) programs.  She holds a USA Hockey Level 4 Coach Certification and is deeply committed to building confident, skilled, and enthusiastic players.

Erika has also been a dedicated member of the Cincinnati Cyclones organization for over a decade and currently serves as Ice Crew Manager.  Her strong ties to the local hockey community, combined with her extensive playing and coaching background, make her a trusted and passionate leader on and off the ice.

Erika’s coaching philosophy centers on confidence, fun, and development.  She believes every child has the ability to succeed with the right encouragement and instruction.  Her goal is to help players not only learn the fundamentals but also develop a lifelong love for the game—ultimately guiding them to join teams, grow their skills, and enjoy every moment of hockey.
